The rain date is October 3rd from 1-5 pm. This festival will focus on arts and culture in Reading. Visit a booth and find out what that organization is all about and what upcoming events they have planned. Perhaps their mission would be of interest to you and your family. Ask how to get involved!!! Those who have not yet been vaccinated are asked to wear a mask.
Arts and cultural groups that will be participating that day are Arts Reading, Colonial Chorus Players, Reading Public Library, Everett and Ginny Blodgett, You and Me Puppets, New England School of Performing Arts, Venturing Studios, Reading Historical Commission, Quannapowitt Players, Elizabeth Noble Studio, The Music Porch, Reading Police Department, Reading Community Concert Band, Creative Arts for Kids, Woburn Guild of Artists, Nimble Thimblers, and Rick Corbett Art. Now a non-profit corporation, Arts Reading was formed in 2014 with two goals: gather the arts and cultural groups in town under its umbrella to advocate for the arts in Reading and lead the effort in creating a cultural district in downtown. We have a lot of work to do to accomplish the latter and welcome new members and new ideas. We have a website, artsreadinginc.org with a calendar listing many of the cultural events in town. And we have a Facebook page, facebook.com/ArtsReadingMA.
If your organization would like to join with us, e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to answer your questions. If you are an artist and would like to join us as an individual, e-mail us. We meet once a month, usually the 3rd Thursday at the Reading Town Hall at 7 PM. Please join us and help us accomplish our goals.
