Mission of Deeds is a non-profit organization providing new beds and gently used furniture, and household items to individuals and families in need in Middlesex and Essex counties. We have been in operation for more than 30 years in downtown Reading and furnished almost 17,000 homes. We assist people in need transitioning out of homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, fire and flood victims, and anyone in need as vetted by a professional in an official capacity. We do not receive government funding.

The show will be held at the Congregational Church, Woburn Street in Reading, on May 3 from 7:30 – 9:30 and on Saturday, May 4 from 10:00 – 3:00. Entrance to Guild Hall, where the art show is held is the middle side door on Sanborn Street.

Friends of Reading Public Library House Tour

The Friends of the Reading Public Library is excited to announce the return of the Friends’ House Tour on May 5, 2024. This is our longest running fundraising event, last held in 2018. The 2024 Tour features several beautiful and unique homes of Reading. Eight generous homeowners have opened their homes to support the Reading Public Library. Take note of the details each has incorporated to make their home special. Many have extended their vision outside as well.
