Phyllis Ann (Thomson) Nickerson, age 76, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, peacefully at her home in Hudson, NH, surrounded by family and loved ones. Phyllis was born on April 19, 1947, in Boston, MA, the daughter of the late Pete and Leona (Bloom)Thomson.
Phyllis attended Reading Memorial High School and graduated in 1965. After graduating high school, the Nickerson family moved to NH, where Phyllis raised her three children. Phyllis had a 30-year career with United Parcel Service working in customer service and valued her friendships with her coworkers, and has been enjoying her retirement.
Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, they were a very special part of her life. She loved to be kind and help people, especially helping out with a dear friend Paul Doucet. She also enjoyed all types of crafts, knitting, crocheting, and painting ceramics. James Taylor, The Beatles, and The Bee Gees were some of her favorite music artists to listen to.
Phyllis is survived by her sister Barbara Oravetz of Reading, MA; her three children Jennifer L. Sargent and husband Gene Sargent of Nebraska, Janelle L. Guarino of Middleton, NH, and Jeff Nickerson of Hudson, NH; her three grandchildren, Amy L. Doucet and boyfriend Lee of Hudson, NH, Mathew J. Doucet and wife Cassandra of Londonderry, NH, and Jacob W. Guarino of Middleton, NH; great-grandchild Oliver W. Doucet; step-grandchild Aaron E. Sargent and wife Sarah of West Virginia and their children Paisley and Elliana.
Survived by all her nieces and nephews of Reading, MA, Jim Carroll, Deb Carroll, Lisa Strandberg and husband Karl, Peter Carroll and wife Susie, Tim Carroll and wife Jodi and all the great nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal services held at this time. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
