Local artists and organizations can apply for funding to support cultural programs serving the Reading community through October 15
Reading, MA — The Reading Cultural Council recently announced the opening of this year’s grant cycle. Do you have a creative project that could benefit our town?
In FY27 Mass Cultural Council will invest $5.850,000 into the Local Cultural Council (LCC) Program, in which Reading is included. This is our nation’s largest grassroots cultural funding network.
As an LCC, the Reading Cultural Council (RCC) awards grants to individuals and organizations offering cultural programs that serve the Reading community. These include school field trips, after-school programs, concerts, festivals, lectures, theater, dance, music, and film. The projects take place in schools, community centers, libraries, elder care facilities, town halls, parks, and wherever our community comes together.
The grant cycle runs now through October 15th. Funds are granted on a reimbursement basis. Eligibility rules and the official application form are available at https://massculturalcouncil.org/local-council/reading. Read through the local requirements and then click the Apply Now button.
We are fortunate to have such a robust volunteer-based arts and culture community in our town, and RCC encourages applications each year.
In addition to the LCC program, the Massachusetts Cultural Council manages and funds other grants available for specific types of arts and cultural events. While you are on the website, we urge you to explore the myriad of other potential sources of financial support. While there, you can sign up for an information session on 9/102026.
