O’NEIL, John E., Sr., of Reading, formerly of Woburn and Arlington, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2022, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 64 years to Jacquelyn Mae O’Neil (Igoe). Loving father of Suzanne Murphy and her husband Kenneth of TX, John E O’Neil, Jr. and his wife Jean of Westford, Alison Aldorisio and her husband Barry of Woburn, Robert O’Neil of Reading, Amy Holloran and her husband Edward of ME, Paula Fanuele and her husband Anthony of Wilmington, Brian O’Neil and his wife Nicole of TX, and Michael O’Neil of Salem. Proud grandfather of eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, Frank O’Neil and Marian (Crouse), his grandson Christopher O’Neil, and his four siblings. John is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford Street, Arlington, on Tuesday, November 29th at 11:30am. Visiting Hours will be held in the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, ARLINGTON, on Monday, November 28th from 4-7PM. Burial and Military Honors will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
