Obituary: Edward J. DiPasquale, 87

Edward J.DiPasquale – of Reading, age 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Reading on October 14, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He was the dear husband of the late Jean (Eismund) DiPasquale, who passed in 2016.

Born in Boston, MA, on February 15, 1935, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Lucretia (Caruso) DiPasquale. Following his education, Edward enrolled in the United States Army, proudly serving in the 5th Infantry in Germany.

Edward was a devout Catholic and looked forward to attending weekly Mass at St. Theresa. He also loved to watch Notre Dame Football games in his free time, especially when his family was there to enjoy them with him. Family was always first for Edward. There was nothing more important to him than spending time with his children and grandchildren and making it to every sporting or singing event they were in. Edward always took great care to ensure that the memories he made with his family were long-lasting and filled with love.

Surviving Edward are his children and grandchildren, Laura Cervizzi and her husband Paul of N. Reading and their children, Christopher and Juliana; Linda Silva and her husband John of Medford and their children, Jay and Jared; David Melanson and his wife Cindy of Reading and their children, Paul and Alex; his siblings, Robert DiPasquale of Somerville and Mary Driscoll and her husband William of Stoneham, as well as many other dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Edward was the brother of the late Pasquale DiPasquale, Jr., Fr. Ralph DiPasquale, Leonard DiPasquale, and Paul DiPasquale.

Funeral from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28), NORTH READING, at Reading line, on Thursday, Oct. 20th at 9:30am. Funeral Mass in St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St. (Rte. 62), North Reading at 10:30am. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8pm.
