Reading, MA — The Town of Reading will be holding its Sixth Annual Economic Development Public Forum on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 7-9pm at the Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD) cafeteria located at 230 Ash Street.
The meeting will include light refreshments and interactive facilitated discussion stations to hear from our residents and businesses about a vision for the Eastern Gateway. All are welcome to this neighborhood meeting to review design concepts for the area between the MBTA train tracks and Ash Street. In 2019, Gamble Associates presented design concepts, and the Town would like to reengage with the neighborhood to learn more about community preferences on key design ideas. Topics include land use, open space, mobility, and placemaking.
This community planning initiative prepares the Town for future economic development opportunities, per the Town’s Economic Development Action Plan. We look forward to reimaging what might be possible.
On-site parking is available at 230 Ash Street (RMLD) in the visitor parking lot behind the historical RMLD Station 1 building.
