Reading, MA — Registered Democrats in the Town of Reading will be holding a caucus at the Reading Pleasant Street Center, 49 Pleasant Street Center on Tuesday, February 18th at 7:00 PM to elect 14 delegates and 4 alternates to the 2020 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Registration opens at 6:30 PM and the doors will close promptly at 7:00 PM. The Convention will be held on Saturday, May 30th at the Tsongas Center in Lowell. At that time, thousands of Democrats from across the state will come together to discuss party business, nominate our candidate for US Senate and celebrate our successes as we prepare for upcoming elections.
The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Reading. Pre-registered Democrats who will be sixteen by February 15, 2020 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Youth, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an Add-on delegate at the caucus or at www.massdems.org.
