December 1, 1949 – May 13, 2026

Linda S. (Nemerowski) Babine of Tewksbury passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on May 13, 2026.
Linda was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late John and Genevieve (Kazmierczak) Nemerowski. She grew up in Everett, Massachusetts, and later raised her family in Reading, Massachusetts.
Linda earned her Registered Nursing Diploma from Whidden Memorial Hospital and dedicated 46 years to nursing. Known for her grace, professionalism, unwavering compassion, and always making people feel cared for and understood. Colleagues admired her calm composure, sharp focus, and quiet confidence, as well as the warmth and kindness she brought to every patient and coworker she encountered. Her beauty, signature style, and caring spirit made her unforgettable to all who had the privilege of working beside her.
One of Linda’s greatest joys was the annual family trips to Hampton Beach with her cherished husband, John, a tradition that began more than 35 years ago and continues today. Endless memories were made during beach days, family games, and treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Linda had been spending summers on Cobbetts Pond in Windham, New Hampshire since she was a small child, at the home her father built by hand. Summers at the lake were filled with family over the decades and included Linda’s parents, siblings, children, nieces, nephew, great-nieces, great-nephews, and grandchildren. Generations gathered there over the years, creating memories that will forever be held close to their hearts.
Linda was the beloved wife of the late John T. Babine. She was the devoted mother of Melissa Richards and her husband Mark of Reading, the late Michael Walter and his wife Cindy of Easton, Jennifer Peznola and her husband Bob of Roswell, Georgia, and Erica Hurley of San Diego, California.
She was the loving sister of the late John Nemerowski and his wife Eileen of Stoneham, Massachusetts, and Patricia Soderstrom and her husband Dean of Texas.
Linda was a proud and loving “Baci” to Wes, Winnie, Alexandra, Benjamin, Leo, Max, Stella, Jack, Giovanna, Tyler, and Shane.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rosie’s Place, Boston. www.rosiesplace.org
