Reading, MA — Get ready to embrace the spirit of autumn at the highly anticipated annual Reading Fall Street Faire on Sunday, September 8! “We are thrilled to announce that Reading’s newest business will generously be this year’s Premier sponsor for the Faire. It is wonderful to have local business embrace giving back to the community,” said Sheila Clarke, Rotary and RFSF committee member. The RFSF is run by Reading Rotary.
Post 1917, an exciting new addition to Reading’s culinary landscape, opens its doors with a mission to blend the charm of classic steakhouse dining with a modern twist. Nestled in a historic building, Post 1917 offers more than just a meal; it promises an experience that resonates with warmth, exceptional cuisine, and community spirit.
Founded by passionate restaurateurs Lori Haverty, a lifelong Reading resident, and Jason Carron, Post 1917 was born from a vision sparked by the breathtaking ambiance of its location. The significance behind the name “Post 1917” pays homage to the building’s history. “The post office plans were approved in 1917,” shared Lori and Jason. “We have a cement plaque stating that on the facade of the building.”
Beyond serving exquisite meals, Post 1917 is committed to enriching the Reading community. “In the short time since we opened, we’ve been actively involved, sponsoring local teams and planning initiatives like ‘Give Back Tuesdays’,” They explained. “We’re excited about our role in contributing positively to Reading residents’ lives. We have always appreciated the Reading Rotary and are proud to be their partner”
This year’s event will be a vibrant celebration of community, featuring a diverse array of vendors offering unique crafts, delicious foods, and exciting activities for the whole family. “It is our hope that everyone joins us as we transform the streets into a bustling festival that welcomes guests of all ages to enjoy a memorable fall experience,” said John Feudo, RFSF Chair.
