RPL: Join our Watch Party to meet Kate DiCamillo

Reading, M — Join our watch party to meet Kate DiCamillo on Tuesday, July 9, at 2:00 pm! Reading Public Library (RPL), Reading, MA— We’re going to Deckawoo Drive with everyone’s favorite adventure loving pig, Mercy Watson! Newbery Medal-winning author Kate DiCamillo will share the stories behind the creation of her early chapter book series, the original Mercy Watson, and the follow-up series, Tales from Deckawoo Drive.

On Tuesday, July 9, at 2:00 pm, join us in the Community Room for our Friends Speaker Series Watch Party! You’ll gather with other fans and friends to hear Kate discuss her writing, and kids have a chance to ask questions during the program, which will be submitted for the Q&A portion of the program. And, you can play Kate DiCamillo bingo to enter to win a copy of Mercy Watson to the Rescue!

The Friends Speaker Series presents celebrated authors and compelling speakers in a virtual showcase you can access anytime, as well as via live online events and in-person watch parties at the library. Each month you can choose from a range of acclaimed speakers and authors from around the world.
