While at RMHS: ’19-’20 Indoor Track and Field Most Improved Athlete; 6th Place in Shotput at 2020 MIAA D2 State
BRIDGEWATER, MA — For the second straight week, Bridgewater State University senior Jason Dann has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Dann won a pair of individual titles this past weekend at the MASCAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships as he helped the Bears capture the program’s sixth straight MASCAC outdoor crown. The Reading, Massachusetts product paced the field in the discus throw with a PR of 151 feet, one inch (46.06m), and placed first in the hammer throw with a toss of 173 feet, seven inches (52.90m).
Dann currently ranks fourth in the East Region in both the discus and hammer.
Qualifying members of the BSU men’s outdoor track & field team will compete later this week at the Division III New England Championships hosted by Mount Holyoke College.
