Alfred Charles Resteghini Jr., on December 5, 2023, at the age of 59, of Somerville and Stoneham, died peacefully at his home in Reading, surrounded by both his family and Hopkins Street family. He is survived by his siblings Susan Kirkland and her husband, Dan of Salem, NH and Stoneham, MA, Dianne De Vito and her husband Steven of Billerica and Peter Resteghini and his wife Annmarie of Topsfield and Everett. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Alfred Sr. and Myrna (Robertson) Resteghini.
Alfred attended Somerville Public Schools and graduated in 1986. He was also a member of the Walnut Street Center in Somerville before he joined EMARC/Communitas in Wakefield.
The simplest pleasures brought great joy to Alfred. He loved spending time with friends and family enjoying music, singing and dancing, especially to movies and Broadway musicals. He was active in the Friday Night Bowling League in Somerville for many years. He so enjoyed creating jewelry and art, especially using his favorite color, red, at the Center for Emerging Artists with EMARC/Communitas.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Alfred in St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St., (Rte. 62), North Reading on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 10:30 am. Please go directly to church. Visiting hours in the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28) North Reading at Reading line on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
