BOSTON – House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. (R-North Reading) is now accepting applications for fall semester internships in his Boston office.

Internships are available for residents of the 20th Middlesex District, which includes North Reading, Reading, Lynnfield and Middleton. College students from the district are encouraged to submit their resumes to apply for an internship.

“Interning at the State House is a great way for students to gain valuable hands-on experience in an office setting and to learn more about the legislative process and how a bill becomes law,” said Representative Jones.  “During their internship, students will work alongside my staff on a wide range of tasks, including policy analysis, legislative research, constituent services and data entry. It truly offers a well-rounded experience and provides students with valuable skills that will last a lifetime.”

College students who are interested in learning more about internship opportunities in Jones’ office can contact his Director of Local Affairs and Scheduling, Sara Doran, at Sara.Doran@mahouse.gov. Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume and a brief writing sample.

Internships are unpaid. However, in some cases, there may be an opportunity to earn college credits.
