What is Nia?

Nia is a fun, internationally acclaimed cardiovascular mind-body movement that combines movement from three disciplines:

Martial Arts – Tai Chi, Taekwando & Aikido

Dance Arts – Jazz, Modern & Interpretive Dance

Healing Arts – Yoga, Alexander Technique & Feldenkrais Method

Nia is usually done in bare feet, but if you need footwear, that’s fine too. Wear comfortable workout or yoga clothing. A yoga mat is helpful for stretching for the final 15 minutes of class. About Linda Wilkes

Linda Wilkes is a certified white belt Nia instructor, and has been teaching classes since 2016. She is a retired graphic designer but started out life as a registered nurse. Linda grew up ballet dancing and singing. She relishes the opportunity to combine her love of music, health and movement and looks forward to passing Nia on to others.
