Charles Holden Stobbs of Reading, MA, died on June 3, 2023. He was the loving husband of Barbara (McCarthy) Stobbs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr William M. Stobbs and Alice Holden Stobbs and his sister Mary Stobbs of Attleboro, MA.
Charles served in the US Navy during WWII. He then attended Harvard University, graduating in 1950. He was employed as a mechanical engineer for many years.
He enjoyed hiking, photography, and many outdoor sports. Charles was well known for his ability to draw sap from trees in the yard and make a delicious maple syrup. Yum! He will be remembered for his intelligence, his delightful wit, and his kindness.
His life will be celebrated at a later date.
