YMCA Receives ARPA Check

Reading, MA — Members of the Reading ARPA Advisory Committee and the Reading Select Board delivered a $96,100 check from the American Rescue Plan Act to the Burbank YMCA. The funds will be used by the YMCA to host adaptive swimming lessons for children and adults with disabilities. We are very excited by this partnership, and the opportunity to help community members with disabilities! Here is a quick Instagram post from the YMCA to promote the SPLASH program. We have a much work to do still in adaptive programming and mental health. Thanks to the Select Board and the RAAC providing these important financial resources to support the efforts.
