Obituary: Phyllis I. (Gaudet) Mullins, 95

August 24, 1927 — April 3, 2023

Phyllis Irene ( Gaudet) Mullins, of Reading, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3rd, 2023, at her home of 68 years with her family by her side. She was 95 years of age. 

Phyllis led an ordinary life with extraordinary grace. Nothing brought Phyllis more joy than to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Phyllis, with her husband of 53 years,Ted, took tremendous pride in the upkeep of their home, which was the venue for holidays, cookouts, parties , celebrations, and countless cups of tea with beloved family and lifelong friends.

Phyllis enjoyed many outdoor activities, but by far, her favorite was ocean and lake swimming. An avid reader, artist, and follower of current events, Phyllis remained actively engaged with family, friends, and community and maintained her lifelong love of learning until the day she passed.

Phyllis is the beloved wife of the late Timothy “Ted” Mullins. She is the loving mother of Nancy Mullins, Timothy Mullins and his wife Peg, Susan O’Maley and her husband Kevin, Kevin Mullins and his wife Katherine, and the late Thomas Mullins and Paul Mullins. Cherished grandmother of Meaghan O’Maley, Brian O’Maley, Daniel Mullins, Thomas O’Maley, Sarah Mullins, Joseph Mullins, Keegan Mullins, Rachelle Mullins and Roark Mullins. Great grandmother of Fineena Irene O’Maley-Ramras, Dylan O’Maley, Isaac O’Maley-Ramras, Caden O’Maley-Ramras and Lucas O’Maley. Dear sister of Gregory Gaudet, and the late Edward Gaudet, George Gaudet, Elizabeth Alliot, and David Gaudet. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with her family on Friday April 14th, 2023 in the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING from 8:30 am to 9:15 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Phyllis’ Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
