To the editor,
I am writing to express my support for Sarah McLaughlin for School Committee. Sarah is a proven leader who has been giving her time to the town since she moved here with her husband and two daughters in 2008. She has served as a Town Meeting member, a Girl Scout troop leader, and an assistant lacrosse coach. As former head of the Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC), Sarah would bring her valuable perspective as a special education parent to the committee. Sarah currently works at a health care technology company, where she is responsible for setting goals and managing projects and budgets. If elected, Sarah would work tirelessly to expand educational opportunities for all students. Her goals would include working with the new superintendent to develop a vision for our schools and a roadmap for how to get there. She is a strong advocate for improving reading instruction in the early grades and providing an engaging and challenging curriculum for students at all levels. She also believes in identifying struggling students and intervening as early as possible to better support them. I hope you will join me in voting for Sarah for School Committee on April 6!
