Stephanie Johnson Elected Vice President of the RCTV Board

Reading, MA – Stephanie Johnson has been selected to become the new Vice President of the Reading Community Television (RCTV) Board of Directors. A Mortgage Loan Officer at Reading Cooperative Bank (RCB), Johnson has long volunteered her time as a member of the community. She has held leadership positions with a number of local organizations, including the Peabody Rotary Club. Johnson has been a Board member of RCTV since 2019.

As one of her first initiatives, Johnson will be overseeing RCTV’s summer camp programs and observing the State guidelines for safety. Her new role will also involve the following responsibilities: increasing awareness within the community of everything RCTV has to offer; supporting the community’s access to information regarding town operation and governance; providing new and entertaining content to attract a diverse audience; continuing robust educational programs through classes offered at RMHS and through workshops at the studio; maintaining an active social media and internet presence; and helping RCTV grow its memberships.

“Stephanie has been a great addition to the RCTV Board,” remarked Philip Rushworth, Executive Director of RCTV Studios. “I look forward to working with her in her new role as Vice President of the Board.”

The RCTV Board has always impressed me with their outside-the-box thinking,” Johnson said. “As Vice President, I hope to continue working with the Board and the incoming President, Chris Cridler, to develop programs and strategies to deepen our local foothold and broaden the reach of the studio’s educational opportunities for those who would like to learn the craft of film and television production.”
