Dorothy M. White, a resident of Reading for over 20 years formerly of Maynard, passed away at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham on July 12, 2020. She was 96 years of age.
Dorothy was born in Sandwich, New Hampshire on January 26, 1924 the daughter of Edward L. and Gertrude (Lewin) White. Dorothy proudly served her country as a Registered Nurse in the U.S. Air Force. She was honorably discharged with the rank of First Lieutenant. After she left the military she went to work for Quincy Hospital where she spent her entire career retiring in 1980.
Dorothy was the cherished mother of David M. White of New York City, NY. Loving grandmother of Ian White. Loving aunt of Craig Batley of N.H., Bryan and Jane Batley of Reading and also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services are private and there are no visiting hours.
