Local Fitness Studio is offering free virtual classes to help people deal with COVID-19
Reading, MA — Fitness Within is a Main Street fitness studio that had to close its doors in March because of the pandemic. For many people, the recent adjustments made in their daily lives because of COVID-19 is challenging and even more difficult for those with mental health issues. Co-owners Robin Krane and Domenic Prisco are no exception when faced with the most likely reality of a forced closure they alerted their members they would shift to online classes and offered to loan weights and equipment for members to continue working out at home. Since then, more people have joined their fitness family and their Facebook Group: Fitness Within Remote Coaching. There are a variety of pricing options and plans to choose from depending upon an individual’s fitness goals. Prisco then saw a bigger need, “A lot of people are struggling mentally and financially right now, and this is our way of giving back,“ stated Co-owner Domenic Prisco “we are offering a free weekly live streaming class for the community on Wednesdays at 12 noon.”
For those that cannot make the live class Fitness Within will also post the recorded version on their Facebook page for people to take at their convenience using a tablet, phone, or computer where you can connect to zoom and a place to work out. Workouts are intended for inside or outside. Prisco adds “share with anyone that would benefit from a workout.”
