Virginia F. (Weeden) Parsons, a resident of Reading for 67 years, passed away at the Care One of Wilmington Nursing Facility on April 18, 2020. She was 98 years of age.
Virginia was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on April 22, 1921, the daughter of Frederick and Margaret (Gray) Weeden. Virginia worked as a saleswoman for Laura Lane Dress Company and then for Fabric Town retiring in 1991. She was a longtime member of the Old South United Methodist Church in Reading. She was a member of the Women’s Club and the Reading Garden Club. She was active with her husband with the Masonic fraternity Good Samaritan Lodge A.F. &A.M. in Reading.
Virginia was the wife of 59 years to the late Roy L. Parsons, Jr. She was the mother of Roy F. Parsons, Virginia L. Gwinn, and Richard G. Parsons. Loving grandmother of 4 and loving great grandmother of 11.
