State Auditor Suzanne Bump to Speak at Pleasant Street Center

You are invited to join the Reading Democratic Town Committee on Tuesday October 17 at 7:00 PM at the Pleasant Street Center; 49 Pleasant Street; Reading, MA. Our special guest will be State Auditor Suzanne Bump. She will give us an update on current initiatives of the State Auditor’s Office. Suzanne Bump was first elected state auditor in 2010 and is the first woman elected to this role in the state’s history. She brings over 30 years of administrative experience in both the public and private sector to the auditor’s responsibilities of conducting audits, investigations, and studies to promote accountability and transparency, improve performance, and make government work better. Auditor Bump is a recognized national leader among her peers in the public auditing world. This is a great opportunity to talk government with one of our constitutional officers; we hope you can join us on October 17.

The Reading Democratic Town Committee is the official body of the Massachusetts Democratic Party in the Town of Reading. The 30 members and associates organize active democrats to work on campaigns and to engage in issue advocacy on behalf of the progressive values of the party. Currently the group is gathering signatures for proposals to put the $15 minimum wage and Paid Family and Medical Leave on the 2018 ballot. Additionally, the committee is hosting statewide elected officials and the democratic candidates for Governor in 2018. For more information contact the committee at readingdems@comcast.net.
