Members-only club features high-tech simulators and AI-powered swing analysis

WOBURN, MA — Golfers can now tee off any time of day or night—and in any weather—at Boston Birdies Golf Club, a new indoor golf facility on Olympia Avenue in Woburn. The members-only club features four golf simulator bays, allowing players to experience courses from around the world while refining their game with advanced technology and AI-powered coaching.
Owner Jeff Russell is a former Massachusetts Army National Guard military police officer who spent most of his career as a commercial airline pilot. He launched Boston Birdies with a vision to “reinvent what indoor golf is,” according to a September 2026 LinkedIn post.
Each simulator bay at Boston Birdies is equipped with a Uneekor Launch monitor, which uses high-speed cameras and specialized software to capture real-time ball, club, and swing data. Players can also practice from simulated rough and sand using a specialized hitting insert, while automated coaching technology delivers real-time swing analysis.
The setup offers tools for golfers of all skill levels, from casual players looking to have fun to competitive golfers working to improve their game.
“Boston Birdies is a terrific addition to Woburn’s recreational offerings,” said Steve Cusano, of Cummings Properties. “With round-the-clock access, golfers can fit in practice or a round with friends or colleagues whenever it works for them.”
Cusano worked directly with Russell on the lease, which included a custom buildout of the 2,360-square-foot space. Cummings’ in-house design and construction teams created four partitioned simulator bays and installed the electrical infrastructure needed to support the technology.
Boston Birdies Golf Club is located at 25-D Olympia Avenue in Woburn, at the junction of routes I-95 and I-93. The facility offers private and corporate membership packages. For membership information, visit www.bostonbirdies.com.
