Classmate Nick Mirogiannis (Reading, Massachusetts/Reading Memorial) also netted a goal for Emerson, while junior Jack Wasserman (Atlanta, Georgia/The Galloway School) dished an assist.

Salve Regina got goals from three different players to erase an early deficit and then opened a two-goal lead that appeared to seal its first NEWMAC win of the season. Juniors Liam Barnett (Fair Haven, New Jersey/Rumson-Fair Haven) and Ty Ferris (Ridgewood, New Jersey/Bergen Catholic) as well as sophomore Angelo Cervera (East Williston, New York/Wheatley) scored the three-straight goals for the Seahawks.

Junior Adonis Santiago (Oakdale, Connecticut/Montville) finished with two saves in goal for Salve Regina, while sophomore Asa Roberts (Guilford, Connecticut/Guilford) registered one stop in the Emerson goal. That save came with nine minutes remaining in the match to preserve the draw.

Mirogiannis opened the scoring just 2:24 into the match with his fourth goal of the season off a pass from Carson. Salve leveled the match just 2:02 before halftime with Barnett’s first goal of the season.

Ferris pushed Salve Regina in front 5:29 into the second half with his eighth goal of the year and then Cervera added a wonder strike off an Emerson turnover in the 64th minute for his first goal of the year that appeared to put the Seahawks in control.

Emerson pulled a goal back less than two minutes later with Carson’s first goal of the night in the 65th minute. He added the equalizing goal ten minutes later when he took a deep pass down the left side from Wasserman and fired in his fifth goal of the season in the 75th minute.
