Reading, MA – Reading Cooperative Bank (RCB) is pleased to announce the hiring of Sandy Li as its new AVP, Assistant Compliance Officer. Li supports the bank’s overall compliance program and business units to identify potential risks, enhance policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Li holds a BS in Management from Bridgewater State University and has over a decade of banking experience. Prior to joining RCB, she spent eight years at JPMorgan Chase, where she served as a Branch Manager before transitioning into Internal Audit. During her time in Internal Audit, she supported branch audits across the New England region, helping to strengthen controls and promote operational effectiveness.
“Joining Reading Cooperative Bank was a natural decision for me,” Li said. “The bank’s strong community focus and commitment to building meaningful relationships with both customers and employees truly resonated with me. I am excited to bring my audit background to a team that values integrity, collaboration, and exceptional customer service, and I look forward to contributing to the bank’s continued growth and success.”
“I’m thrilled to welcome Sandy to Reading Cooperative Bank,” said Karen Tavernese, VP, Compliance Officer. “Her extensive experience in branch leadership and internal audit brings valuable insight into risk management and operational effectiveness. Sandy’s collaborative approach and passion for compliance make her an outstanding addition as we continue to grow. I’m excited to see the impact she will have in strengthening partnerships across the bank and enhancing a seamless experience for both our teams and our customers.”
Originally from West Roxbury and now residing in Malden, Li enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, discovering local restaurants, and spending quality time with family and friends.
