Officers will wear special Reading Memorial High School patches throughout June, with proceeds from patch sales benefiting the Reading Food Pantry

READING — Reading Police will continue in its tradition of honoring high school seniors by wearing a “Reading Rocket” patch throughout the month of June.
Reading Memorial High School’s graduation will be held on Friday, May 29. Members of the Reading Police Department, including School Resource Officers, will wear the special patch on their uniforms throughout June to honor the seniors. The patch features the high school’s logo and is named the “Rocket” patch in honor of the school’s mascot.
Patches cost $10. The Police Department is partnering with the Reading Food Pantry, and all proceeds from patch sales will benefit the pantry.
Residents, community members, and donors who would like to receive a patch should send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Community Service Officer DaLonn Pearson at the police station, 15 Union St., Reading, MA 01867.
The Reading Police Department would like to congratulate the Class of 2026 and wishes students the best of luck in their future endeavors.
“Wearing these patches is a small way for us to honor the accomplishments of our senior students,” said Deputy Chief Christine Amendola. “We are so proud of our seniors, and we congratulate each of them as they move on to postgraduate opportunities.”
