Alan Foulds is a local historian who has written several historically related articles in addition to his book, “Boston’s Ballparks & Arenas.” He is a major contributor to the writing of “At Wood End.” Mr. Foulds is also Reading’s Town Moderator.

Every school child knows of Paul Revere, and the history buff can add the names of William Dawes and Samuel Prescott, to the account, but, in reality, there existed a whole network of express riders who spread the alarm of Lexington and Concord over all of Eastern Massachusetts. Included in the podcast is the story of Reading’s alarm rider, Martin Herrick.
