To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Vena Chen, and I am a high school graduate from RMHS who is honored to write this letter of recommendation in support of Dana Guarino as he seeks a position on the Reading School Committee. Since day one, Dana has been an exceptional mentor on my journey to becoming a physician assistant (PA). As a dedicated PA with a strong commitment to community well-being, Dana brings a unique perspective that will positively impact our schools and students.

I have had the privilege of having Dana as my mentor for four years, during which I have witnessed firsthand what it means to be an outstanding provider. Being a great provider means demonstrating empathy toward patients, striving to improve their well-being, collaborating seamlessly with diverse groups, and dedicating oneself to tirelessly advocating for the well-being of others. Dana’s extensive experience in healthcare has given him a profound understanding of the physical, emotional, and mental health needs of students—an essential quality for shaping policies that foster a thriving educational environment.

Beyond his professional expertise, Dana has been an active member of our community, consistently demonstrating passion and responsibility for the betterment of our public schools.

His ability to advocate for his beliefs, listen attentively, analyze issues critically, and work toward practical solutions makes him an outstanding candidate for the school committee. I have no doubt that his presence on the committee will help ensure student health, safety, and overall success.

Therefore, I wholeheartedly recommend my mentor, Dana Guarino, for this position and am confident that his contributions will have a lasting positive impact on our schools. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions at 781-228-9878.

Sincerely,

Vena Chen
