Reading Police Department Arrests and Charges Boston Woman with OUI

READING – Chief David Clark reports that the Reading Police Department arrested and charged a Boston woman with operating under the influence. 

CRYSTAL NGUYEN, AGE 37, of BOSTON, was arrested and charged with the following: 

  • Operating Under the Influence of Liquor
  • Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Marked Lanes Violation
  • Leaving the Scene of Property Damage

On Tuesday, June 25, at 11:25 p.m., Reading Police responded to the area of John Street for reports of a motor vehicle that crashed into a stop sign after driving over the curb, and proceeded to drive away toward Walker’s Brook Drive.

Officers located the suspect vehicle on Walker’s Brook Drive, in the Stop and Shop parking lot, and it appeared to have significant front-end damage. 

A preliminary investigation, including a field sobriety test, determined that the driver of the vehicle, identified as NGUYEN, was operating under the influence. 

NGUYEN was arrested without incident. 

NGUYEN was arraigned in Woburn District Court on Wednesday. 

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
