Reading Porchfest 2024

Reading, MA — This year, Reading PorchFest has a record of 93 musical acts, taking place at 45 venues all over town. Together with the schedule, an online map will appear at ReadingPorchFest.com in the next few days. Among those sites are five, which are almost musical festivals in their own right. Revelers could park themselves at any one of these and hear great music all afternoon long.

The first, known as the Manville Stage, 66 Hanscom Avenue, features the music of the Manville/Foley family and friends.  Next up is Genadi’s NRCC Stage at 3 Harriman Avenue. Art Grossman, John Loretz, and company, from the North Reading Community Coffee House will present a variety of high quality folk music, at the home of Genadi Pilyavsky.

Cain Oil, at 16 Gould Street, will showcase an afternoon of rock. A few years ago, one of his musicians dubbed it “Cain Oil Stadium,” and the name stuck. The First Baptist Church on Woburn Street has coordinated a LAWNFEST as part of PorchFest. The church features six separate performances throughout the afternoon.

Finally, there’s the brand new Mattera Pavilion at the Mattera Cabin, 1481 Main Street. PorchFesters are among the first to be afforded the chance to check out this new town asset, all while listening to some great rock.

Keep in mind, there are 40 additional venues to take in, as well. Reading PorchFest is set for Saturday, June 22nd from noon to six.
