To my Reading Friends and Neighbors,
I want to publicly extend my congratulations to Melissa Murphy on being elected to the Select Board. I am grateful for having had the opportunity to participate in the democratic process.
Thank you to my partner and pups – Andrew, Kaycee, Ari, and Waffles – and my campaign team for all your support through these back-to-back election seasons, you all made the decision to run again worth it. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped my campaign – from sign holding, to passing out flyers, phone calls, and text banking – I am so grateful for your support and your efforts these past months.
It’s hard to be different. It’s hard to put yourself on a public stage and disclose details about yourself that most others would keep private. I am proud of the way I ran my campaign and hope that I can help normalize the conversation around mental health. I look forward to continuing to serve as a Town Meeting member for Precinct 2 and staying involved in our community.
