To the Editor:
I am concerned because the Reading Select Board was unable to choose a new Town Manager at their meeting last Tuesday. I believe that Reading needs a new Town Manager with relevant education, extensive experience as a Town Manager/Administrator, and the leadership qualities to carry on the innovative work that former Town Manager Fidel Maltez started. Of the remaining candidates, I believe that Matt Coogan, the current Town Administrator in Boxford, meets those needs best. I hope that the Select Board will choose Mr. Coogan to be our next Town Manager during this Tuesday’s meeting.
