Obituary: Robert “Rip” Paul Ripa, 76

June 13, 1947 – November 20, 2023

Robert “Rip” Paul Ripa, 76, of Manchester, NH, died November 20, 2023, after a period of declining health.

Born in Wakefield, MA, on June 13, 1947, he was the son of Vito P. and Hazel (White) Ripa. He was raised in Reading, MA, and resided in Manchester since 1978.

He graduated from Reading High School, Reading, MA. During the Vietnam War, he served in the Infantry with the United States Army.

Rip was a machinist at various companies and retired from Velcro, USA. 

He was an avid New England Sports fan. Rip enjoyed playing crossword puzzles, Bingo, and playing his guitar to the oldies. He loved life and his family dearly. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His children and grandchildren brought him endless pride and joy and he loved attending their sporting events. Those who knew him will never forget his quiet, gentle ways and dry humor. Rip will be deeply missed, and his memory held dear. 

Family members include his beloved wife of forty-eight years, Patricia (Hogan) Ripa; a son, Mike Ripa and his wife, Amanda, of Goffstown; a daughter, Kristy Pelletier and her husband, Eric, of Goffstown; seven grandchildren, Alex, Makenzie, Aubrey, Jaxson, Lianna, Karen, and Corrine; four brothers, David Ripa and his wife, Brenda, of Florida, Thomas Ripa of MA, Paul Ripa of MA, William Ripa and his wife, Joan, of MA; a sister, Valerie Bolick of FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: Calling hours are Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 10 to 12 PM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH.
