Reading, MA — What happens to the story of King Lear if it’s reimagined from his daughters’ point of view—and it’s transposed to a modern-day hospital waiting room? That’s the premise of “The Lear Sisters,” one of the short plays in the anthology As She Likes It, which elevates Shakespeare’s female characters to center stage for the first time.
Colonial Chorus Players of Reading proudly presents As She Likes It October 6–15 at the Old Hose House Theater, 1249 Main Street, Reading.
Performances are October 6, 7, 13 & 14 at 7:30 PM and October 8 & 15 at 2 PM. Tickets are $25 for adults and $22 for seniors & students. To purchase tickets in advance, go to ccp1961.org. Tickets may be purchased at the door 30 minutes prior to showtime with cash, check, or Venmo.
