June 5, 1941 ~ July 1, 2023

Louise A. Fuller (Elliott), “Weezie,” age 82, a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2023.

Louise was born in Somerville, MA, on June 5, 1941; she was the dear daughter of the late Edgar Elliott and Catherine (Flynn) Kelly. Louise was raised and educated in Somerville, MA and was a graduate of Somerville High School. Louise also spent a lot of time with her family members in Reading, MA, where she made many friends throughout the years.

Louise married “the love of her life,” Richard Fuller in September of 1957; the couple spent over 46 years together and shared many great times with family and friends before Richie’s untimely passing in December of 2003.

Following their wedding, Louise and Richie settled in his hometown of Wilmington, MA, where they raised a beautiful family. Their homestead on Shawsheen Ave. was a great place for their children and their friends to grow up. Louise and Richie had an “open door,” and all were welcome; Louise was always cooking and baking up a storm for family and friends. Louise was big on traditions and holidays; she enjoyed having everyone around a Sunday dinner table, and she took pride in preparing for every holiday or special family event. “Card night” was a weekend staple at the Fuller household; Louise and Richie gathered every weekend with their siblings and friends for a “friendly and competitive” night of cards where lots of laughs were had by all.

Louise’s family was always her priority; she made sure to get her boys to early morning hockey practices, and the girls to their sporting events. Louise attended countless school events, dance recitals, sporting events, along with graduations, first communions, or any other event that was celebrated with her children and grandchildren. Louise was very proud of her family and all of their accomplishments.

While raising her family, Louise, also found time to work for the Wilmington Public Schools; she took a position in the cafeteria at several schools during her career. Louise was always upbeat and friendly towards the students and she made sure everyone was fed; Louise also had a great relationship with several of her co-workers and they have remained great friends through the years. Following her retirement, Louise, helped out delivering meals on wheels to the seniors around Wilmington; she always greeted them with a warm smile as well as a great meal.

In her spare time, Louise, enjoyed reading, doing her crossword puzzles, and heading out to Bingo with family and friends.

Louise will be fondly remembered for her outgoing personality, her infectious laugh, as well as her kind heart and thoughtfulness; she would help anyone in need. Louise was a special lady who never met a “stranger”; she made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. Louise will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.
