Reading, MA — On September 14, 2022, Reading Art Association is presenting Robin Thornhill doing a pastel landscape demo at 7:30 P.M.
The demonstration will take place in Guild Hall of the First Congregational Church in Reading. The entrance to Guild Hall is on Sanborn Street by the middle side door.
Robin works in oil, pastel, and encaustic and was strongly influenced by John Singer Sargent. Robin has a tactile quality in her work and often does New England landscapes.
Robin is known for her landscapes but has also recently experimented in abstraction and has received recognition for her work.
Robin is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, a juried member of Oil Painters of America, the National Association of Women Artists, and a member of the Newburyport Art Association. Robin has also won many awards at numerous group shows.
