Reading Open Land Trust Launches New Website

Also Adds Two New Members

The Reading Open Land Trust Corporation (Rolt) is pleased to announce the recent launching of its website. Just type in Reading Open Land Trust or Rolt, and it will take you to rolt.org. This is a big step for us and will enable us to reach out to more citizens of Reading to get our message and mission across. Founded in 1979, Rolt has taken control of various sites around town with the express purpose of preserving open space and making it available for passive recreation.

And perhaps more exciting yet, we would also like to announce two new members who recently joined Rolt.

Alison Ullman, who has been a Reading resident for over twelve years, has been very active in the town. She has served on the Reading Little League board and was previously involved with the Reading Fall Street Faire. Her work experience includes working in Human Resources and is currently working for Reading Public Schools as a Special Education Para-educator. Alison enjoys the outdoors, is an avid skier, and is looking forward to adding to Reading’s open spaces for all to enjoy.

Ralph Colorusso is also a long-time Reading resident, thirty-plus years and counting. His professional career includes many years as a real estate consultant. He has served the community by having served for 20 years as an elected Town Meeting Representative, as well as on multiple local governmental committees. Additionally, Mr. Colorusso has devoted substantial time to participating in local youth activities for sports & scouting. He is looking forward to being actively involved in preserving the local natural resources and wildlife resources in Reading.

Rolt is excited to have these new members and is looking forward to continued success in acquiring open space for all to enjoy. If anyone would like to learn more about Rolt or perhaps is considering joining the board, please contact us at Roltonline@gmail.com.

And, of course, please contact us if you are considering donating land. We can assist you in the process, if necessary, and explain any questions you may have. If donating is financially not possible, we will consider purchasing parcels of land that fits into our mission.

And a big thank you to the citizens of Reading for their continued support.
