Loving grandfather of Tiffany Freitas, Marissa Monagle (Patrick), Deidre Arnold (Keith), Jack Storti (Elizabeth), Michael Storti (Elise), Lauren Battcock (Michael), Larry Gilligan, Jr., Charles R. Arthur, III, Alexander Arthur, Victoria Arthur (Michael) and proud great-grandfather of Grace, Brynn, John, Reese, William, Gabriel, Anthony, Adele, Nicholas, Mae, Joey, Ember, Kate, Michael, and Benjamin, with whom he spent every day of his wonderful life. Dear brother of Murial Crovo, and the late Rosaline, Dorothy and Irene, and dear brother-in-law of Anne O’Brien, Nelson Doucette, the late Clifford Doucette, Kenneth Doucette, and Esther Amaru. Due to COVID 19 and out of concern for those Randy loved and cared for, the Arthur Family will gather to celebrate his zest for life and the love he shared with so many in Private Services.

Randy was a lifelong resident of Reading, having been born in his family home on Kingston Street. He grew up attending Reading Schools and received his BS degree from Suffolk University. He proudly served overseas as an Aviation Radio Operator in the Army Airforce. He was a true representative of the greatest generation. He worked as an accountant for several years and eventually opened his own fence construction company, A1 Fence Company, which he ran for more than 40 years. Randy’s laughter, joy, and devotion to those he loved were one for the books. He will be sorely missed. But as he told his family countless times in those last days … “If we didn’t love so hard, it wouldn’t be so hard.”

Rest in Peace, Dad (Papa) (Papa Randy)
