Miracle on 34th Radio Play

Location: Colonial Chorus Players Old Hose House, 1249 Main Street, Reading

This holiday season, you will believe in miracles as Colonial Chorus Players proudly presents the live radio play version of the Christmas classic Miracle on 34th Street. The radio play is based on the Academy Award-winning 1947 film about a Macy’s department store Santa who claims to be the real Kris Kringle.

Reading Community Singers Presents Holiday Dreams

Location: Old South United Methodist Church, 6 Salem Street, Reading

The Reading Community Singers are happy to announce their concert schedule for the upcoming holiday season. The title of our concert is Holiday Dreams, giving musical voice to our hopes and wishes for the season of peace and joy. Come celebrate with us as we perform some holiday favorites and some new, exciting pieces as well. Your spirits are sure to rise as you listen to ‘A Million Dreams’ from THE GREATEST SHOWMAN and the stunning beauty of ’Mary Did You Know’ will leave you amazed. A smile is certain to cross your face at the antics of the Chorus as it renders ‘Christmas Don’t Be Late’ and Handel’s ‘Hallelujah Chorus’ is always an exciting crowd-pleaser. You can even join in on that one!

Reading Antiquarian Society Friends of Parker Tavern Holiday Open House. Parker Tavern will be adorned with beautiful period decorations designed by the Reading Garden Club. Musical entertainment, Cider, and refreshments. All are welcome.

Reading Garden Club Memory Tree Lighting Celebration

Location: Reading Public Library 64 Middlesex Avenue

Since 2002, the Memory Tree Lighting Celebration, sponsored by the Reading Garden Club, has become a highly anticipated part of Reading’s holiday season. This event gives people the opportunity to commemorate an individual (family member, friend, neighbor, or group) or to celebrate an event (a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion) by purchasing one or more “lights” to decorate the Memory Tree. The public is invited to participate in and attend this brief commemorative Celebration.
