Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus Endorses Anne Landry for State Representative

Reading, MA — Anne Landry, candidate for State Representative for the 30th Middlesex District, has received the endorsement of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus (MWPC). The MWPC is a non-partisan organization committed to increasing the number of women elected to political office and appointed to public policy positions. The MWPC strives to amplify the interests of women and help them be successful in the political arena.

“We are pleased to endorse a group of terrific women candidates who are highly qualified and committed to making positive changes in districts across Massachusetts,” said Laurie Martinelli, MWPC Executive Director. “This is a watershed year for the Caucus in many respects, and through these endorsements for offices statewide we are seeing this women’s movement unfolding right in front of our eyes.”

“With only 25% of the state legislature composed of women, women are underrepresented in our state legislature, and the unfortunate truth is that that underrepresentation impacts our laws and the climate on Beacon Hill,” Anne remarked. “I’m humbled and grateful to be endorsed by an organization as well-respected and committed to gender equity as the MWPC.”

Anne Landry is a candidate for State Representative in the 30th Middlesex District, including wards 2-6 in Woburn and precincts 2-5 in Reading. Anne earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Richmond (graduating summa cum laude) and a Juris Doctorate (with honors) from Emory University School of Law.
