Reading Police Host Blood Drive

More Than 20 Officers, Community Members and Town Employees Participate

Chief Mark D. Segalla is pleased to announce that the Reading Police Department hosted a successful blood drive Tuesday at the Police Station.

More than 20 people, including Chief Segalla and Deputy Chief David J. Clark and numerous other police officers, town employees and Reading residents, donated blood at the Kraft Family Blood Donor Center that parked outside the Police Station. The donated blood will go to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

“I want to thank the everyone who took time out to donate blood,” Chief Segalla said. “It may seem small, but every drop of blood that is collected has the potential to help save a life of a person in need.”
