Reading Cooperative Bank Welcomes Michael Atkinson

Reading Cooperative Bank recently welcomed Michael Atkinson to its Commercial Lending team as a Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager. Among the varied responsibilities of this new position, is monitoring the Bank’s existing commercial account relationships, including performing financial and credit reviews and analysis. Michael previously worked for the Bank while attending Reading Memorial High School and Bentley College. Before moving back to his hometown of Reading, MA he was a tax manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Virginia where he managed tax consulting and compliance engagements and worked with clients of all industries to improve their tax reporting processes.

“I am excited about this opportunity to start a career at RCB. I look forward to working with both new and existing customers of the Bank and to be able to help in growing the commercial loan portfolio. RCB has strong ties to the community and I am excited to be able to give back to the community I grew up in,” said Atkinson.

Atkinson graduated from Reading Memorial High School in May of 2002, and from Bentley College, with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in 2006, and a Master of Science in Taxation in 2007. He also is a licensed CPA in the state of Massachusetts.
