Obituary: Linda Iacopucci

1953 – 2020

Linda M. Iacopucci, born in April 1953, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 27, 2020, at the age of 67 after battling cancer at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA.

Originally of Reading, MA, Linda spent time in Texas, California, Maine, Vermont, and most recently Chelmsford, MA.  She was born the second of 4 children, and the only daughter, to Mario and Dorothy Iacopucci. As a child, Linda followed her dad everywhere. She grew up close to her cousins and made many wonderful friends along her journey. Linda and her mother had a very close relationship and spoke almost daily throughout their lives.

A 1971 graduate of Reading High School, Linda went on to Salem State College for her Bachelor’s and Wheelock College for her Master’s, both in education. Linda was a life-long educator. She touched not only the lives of the many children she worked with, but she had a powerful impact on her coworkers as well. Her coworkers will remember her kind heart and warm smile, in addition to her ability to rise to any challenge and put others before herself.

Linda loved to spend time with her friends and family. She spent many weekends and holidays with family on Lake Winnisquam in NH or at Higgins Beach in ME, always arriving with a homemade baked treat. Linda loved music. She regularly attended rock concerts with her friends and loved watching her nephews play with their band at local events. Linda raised two strong and independent daughters that shared many adventures with her. She had friends in many circles: from her childhood friends in Reading, MA, to her close friends from college, and coworkers from her places of employment, to her neighborhood in Chelmsford. She was a close friend to many and will be remembered for her sweet soul and giving heart.

Linda was predeceased by her father, Mario B. Iacopucci. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy of Scarborough, ME, and her two beloved daughters Jessica and husband Daniel Lee of Houston, TX, and Carina Berg and partner Sam Lau of Burlington, VT. She also leaves behind her three loving brothers and their spouses: Ronnie and Valerie Iacopucci of Redondo Beach, CA, Leo Iacopucci, and Catherine Lorello-Snow of South Portland, ME, and Michael and Donna Iacopucci of Belmont, NH, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Due to the uncertain times, we are living in, the family will wait to hold a celebration of life until gathering restrictions are lifted. Please visit https://bostoncremation.org/obituary/linda-m-iacopucci for more details.
