The community-wide celebration features free family activities, food, music, games, a Kids Fun Run, and evening fireworks

Reading, MA — The Reading Lions Club invites residents and visitors to celebrate the start of summer at the 21st annual Reading Friends and Family Day on Saturday, June 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Also known as Town Day, Reading Friends and Family Day is one of the community’s most anticipated annual events, bringing together families, friends, local organizations, businesses, and Town departments for a day of free activities and entertainment on the Town Common.
Visitors can enjoy food, crafts, games, giveaways, music, and opportunities to connect with the many groups that help make Reading a vibrant place to live, work, and play. The event is designed for all ages and offers something for everyone.
Special events this year include a morning Kids Fun Run and the Friends of Reading Recreation Fireworks show in the evening, providing a full day of activities from morning through night.
Reading Friends and Family Day is organized and sponsored by the Reading Lions Club, whose volunteers work year-round to make the celebration possible.
The Lions Club also thanked the many sponsors and community partners whose support helps keep the event free and accessible to everyone.
