MVES leadership and advocates highlight need for continued elder care funding

MALDEN – State Representative Richard M. Haggerty (D-Woburn) joined fellow legislators, mayors, advocates and community members at the Mystic Valley Elder Services’ (MVES) annual Legislative Breakfast. The event focused on the organization’s budget needs, legislative priorities and the vital services provided to older adults, including home care.
“The work Mystic Valley Elder Services does every day provides a lifeline for many older adults and their families,” said Representative Haggerty. “Hearing firsthand from MVES staff, leadership and the people they serve helps us understand the critical role these programs play, and how important it is that we keep funding home care, hospice support and housing assistance to keep up with the growing need.”
