A potluck lunch, gift exchange, and a hands-on workshop highlighted the group’s annual holiday gathering

Wakefield, MA — The Wakefield Arts and Crafts Society met on Tuesday, Dec 9 for a festive holiday meeting. We had a delicious potluck lunch and a gift swap. Many handmade gifts were exchanged, which we all enjoyed seeing, giving, and receiving.
The workshop was a mini decorative kimono with beautiful oriental style fabric. Jo Ann Rondelli led the workshop and also provided written instructions should we want to duplicate it at home. Shown in the photo left to right are Cathy Bartlett, Theresa Wright, Jo Ann Rondelli, Sandy Bates, Elaine Grosso, and Robin Gorfine.
Next month our workshop is Gelli printing with Robin Gorfine.
The Wakefield Arts and Crafts Society welcomes new members from all towns, with and without crafting experience. You can visit us online at facebook.com/WakefieldArtsandCraftsSociety. Please contact us at WakefieldArtsCraftsSociety@gmail.com for more information.
Members of the group can participate in making a new craft every month for free. We always have discounted craft supplies available at our meetings and members share their crafting expertise. Our season includes “free guest day” and a field trip in October, a holiday party in December, charity work in winter, and our Annual Exhibit in April. We meet on the first Tuesday of the month from 10AM to approximately 1:30PM.
