Wakefield, MA — Members of Temple Emmanuel of Wakefield are excited to welcome Rabbi Micah Becker-Klein to Temple Emanuel as our new spiritual leader. With 25 years of experience, Rabbi Micah brings a wealth of wisdom, a strong dedication to progressive Jewish values, and a unique mix of creativity, compassion, and community-building.

Rabbi Micah Becker-Klein is passionate about creating joyful Jewish experiences through prayer, education, music, and being present. He is dedicated to guiding individuals and families through all stages of life. He also strongly believes in social justice. He leads with courage and compassion, whether supporting marginalized communities, building interfaith bridges, or advocating for human rights.
Most recently, Rabbi Micah served as a rabbi at University Synagogue in Irvine, CA, and at Community Havurah of Delaware. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Jewish Liturgy from the Jewish Theological Seminary, a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Religion from Columbia University, and a master’s in Hebrew Letters and rabbinic ordination from Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.
A musician, songwriter, and entrepreneur, Rabbi Micah Becker-Klein believes in the power of culture and creativity to deepen Jewish identity and connect us with the world. His work reflects a joyful and innovative spirit, from his original musical recordings of Jewish music to his Roasting Rabbi Coffee LLC company.
