To the editor:
In light of the School Committee decision not to save the middle school language and elementary teachers in the balanced budget, I wanted to tell the teachers of Reading what they have meant to my kids and to me.
To the teachers of Reading, thank you for what you have done for your students.
You have encouraged them, challenged them, believed in them.
You have opened the door to the world for them.
Whatever happens in this election, please know that I will continue to do everything I can to support you, just as you have supported your students.
I will always be grateful for what you have done and for what you continue to do for our children.
